Current  Adult  Small  Groups

Here at Central UMC we would love to have everyone involved in a small group where you can make connections, develop relationships, and grow deeper in your faith.
Please let us know which of these small groups you are interested in and your availability in the contact form below. Our small groups that are available are below:
Our new bible study, "Remember, God's Covenants and the Cross", will begin next Wednesday, February 21st, at 5:15pm. It’ll be a 4 week study. We hope you’ll join us!
God’s covenants throughout the Old Testament show the character of God’s
promises to the people of Israel. In this book, Susan Robb leads readers through the covenants with Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David, followed by the new covenant established on Maundy Thursday. The Lenten story culminates with an examination of the cross as another example of God’s promise for a new world.
Susan Robb teaches readers the basic lessons of the covenants through a mixture of biblical history and personal stories. Her pastoral character and warm tone provide a basis for understanding God’s promises through history and the role of Jesus’s
passion and crucifixion in the history of the covenants.
Meets Wednesdays at 5:15 pm
Join us in a Judgement-free support zone as we explore topics of interest to help us with our parenting and grandparenting life skills.

WINGS meets 3rd Wednesdays at 10:00am. This Women's Circle has published a cookbook “Holy Chow” proceeds from which were used to fund many church projects. If you would like to have one of these cookbooks, they are still available in the office. These caring, generous women enjoy their service projects as well as many fellowship activities. Members offer care and support for each other.

JOY, the Just Older Youth is open to adults age 65 and over who enjoy having a nice lunch away from home. We meet on the 2nd Mondays of each month.

Bible Studies meet periodically throughout the year. They range from short term studies to long term Disciple studies and meet at different days and times.

Sunday School Classes meet 9:00am every Sunday
It is our belief that the Sunday School teaching program provides the glue that bonds our church family together. Spiritual enrichment and lasting friendships are benefits of the Sunday School program.
Adults have the opportunity to study and discuss the Old and New Testament as it applies to our daily lives. Dedicated teachers enlighten class members with their knowledge and abilities while encouraging growth through discussion and practice. We believe these classes strengthen our relationship with God, our marriages, our families, our friends and our community.
There is a place for you in Sunday School! You would be welcomed in any of these classes!
There are several classes to choose from, each with a different focus:
THE HALLWAY CLASS room E210 -- Our newest class. Most participants are young adults and new to Central.
GROWING CHRISTIANS room E208 — Following the lectionary schedule of Scriptures provides students deep conversation as together we experience who God is and who we are as disciples of Christ.
HOEY BIBLE CLASS meet S2, Southside of the Sanctuary— Discover God’s mystery and wisdom as experienced through the creation stories found in Genesis.  Most Participants are Age 70+.
SAINTS & SINNERS room E203 — Discover God’s mystery and wisdom as experienced through the creation stories found in Genesis. Most Participants are Age 60+.
We are excited to regroup!
