WINGS meets 3rd Wednesdays at 10:00am. This Women's Circle has published a cookbook “Holy Chow” proceeds from which were used to fund many church projects. If you would like to have one of these cookbooks, they are still available in the office. These caring, generous women enjoy their service projects as well as many fellowship activities. Members offer care and support for each other.
JOY, the Just Older Youth is open to adults age 65 and over who enjoy having a nice lunch away from home. We meet on the 2nd Mondays of each month. We do not meet in July and August.
Bible Studies meet periodically throughout the year. They range from short term studies to long term Disciple studies and meet at different days and times.
Biblical Context for Sexuality and Gender
Wednesdays 5:15-6pm in the Fellowship Hall
This class is a fun filled dive into the world that shaped the biblical authors. The primary question concerns human sexuality and gender identity. How did biblical authors think about these questions? What does the Bible really say about sexuality and gender identity and how do we translate those things into our own context? What relationships formed the biblical author's theology and how can their relational theology help us form our theology today?
This class will run from September 18 – October 30th with 3 of our sessions being led by Dr. Anna Sieges Beal, Assistant Professor at Gardner-Webb University in the Undergraduate Religious Studies Department. There will be two sessions before Dr. Sieges Beal comes and two sessions after her teaching. Each session will be
critical to the overall learning objectives so mark your calendar to attend each session.
9/25 – What do we already know and what do we still wonder about? - Dr. Tammy Bass
10/2 – Male, Female and Others in the Image of God - Dr. Sieges
10/9 - The Bible Tells Me So, or Does It? - Dr. Sieges
10/16 - Working Out Theology in Relationship - Dr. Sieges

original context and embrace its timeless relevance. Discover―or perhaps rediscover―what makes the gospel of Jesus Christ revolutionary to those who choose to believe. Find out how everything has changed, now that faith has come.
Sunday School Classes meet 9:00am every Sunday
It is our belief that the Sunday School teaching program provides the glue that bonds our church family together. Spiritual enrichment and lasting friendships are benefits of the Sunday School program.
Adults have the opportunity to study and discuss the Old and New Testament as it applies to our daily lives. Dedicated teachers enlighten class members with their knowledge and abilities while encouraging growth through discussion and practice. We believe these classes strengthen our relationship with God, our marriages, our families, our friends and our community.
There is a place for you in Sunday School! You would be welcomed in any of these classes!
There are several classes to choose from, each with a different focus:
THE HALLWAY CLASS room E210 -- Our newest class. Most participants are young adults and new to Central.
GROWING CHRISTIANS room E208 — Following the lectionary schedule of Scriptures provides students deep conversation as together we experience who God is and who we are as disciples of Christ.
SAINTS & SINNERS and HOEY BIBLE CLASS meet together during the summer in room E203 —Teachers from both classes will be leading from our lesson book titled Finding Balance. We hope you will join us.
Our class is “ageless “. Most Participants are Age 60+.
