Here at Central UMC, we strive to provide a welcoming environment where students can find themselves and find God together. Through fellowship, discipleship, and mission opportunities, we will grow with one another as we live out and study the teachings of Christ. Jump in anytime, you are always welcome! Return Policy for COVID diagnosis/exposure

Under the advisement of United Methodist Church guidelines, local health care leaders, and the CUMC COVID-19 Task Force, we are implementing the following plan for re-entry back into church life after having COVID-19 or being exposed to COVID-19 within a family household.

If you have tested positive for COVID-19: Before participating in any activities at Central UMC, you must quarantine for 10 days beginning the first day you had symptoms and/or a positive COVID test.

If you have been exposed to COVID-19 within your family household or high risk exposure outside of household: You must quarantine until the last person in your household that tested positive for COVID has completed their 10 day quarantine (beginning the first day they had symptoms and/or a positive COVID test). Following that 10 day quarantine period, wait an additional 5 days or test negative for COVID-19.

*This standard will be the same for both vaccinated and non-vaccinated church members and will apply to all church activities- worship attendance, music rehearsals, Sunday School, Open Table, Children’s Ministry gatherings, Youth Ministry gatherings, etc.)*

Sunday School

Co-lab-orate Youth Sunday School Class– The Colaborate Curriculum is unique in that it invites students to think theologically and ask deep questions of the Bible. Each week will focus on a different book of the Bible. This class is open to all middle and high school students. It will meet in the Youth Common Area, each Sunday, 9-10 AM.

Sunday Night Hangs

Youth fellowship meets on Sunday nights from 5:30-7:00 pm. The night begins with dinner, activities and games progressing to worship, Bible Study, and small groups. We do tons of different activities on Sunday nights throughout the year, including: Bible Study, Game Nights, Youth Rallies, Holiday Parties, and/or Mission Activities.

On October 24th, CUMC Youth travelled together to the Broad River Greenway where we lived out our calling to take care of creation. We picked up two big bags of trash off the trails!

Outdoor Small Group Gatherings

Thank you to everyone who participated in our youth service day at Camp Tekoa Foothills! It was muddy and wet, but we enjoyed spending the afternoon together and we are able to clear out the bamboo forest and make space for new campsites.

Family Day Camp

As you can see, we had an awesome time axe throwing, hiking, boating, and just enjoying our time together at Camp Tekoa Foothills. Many thank yous to all who participated, especially Tekoa Foothills for letting us share their wonderful space. If you weren’t able to join us, stay in the loop for many more family opportunities to come!
